What To Do With Candle Wax Stain

Candle Wax

Removing candle wax, as you may have already experienced seems easy at first. However, did you really get the stain out? Next time, try this:

  • Rub with ice and carefully scrape off excess wax with a dull knife.
  • Place between several layers of paper towels and press with a warm iron.
  • To remove remaining stain, use a pretreat product.
  • Rinse.
  • If colored stain remains, launder in hottest water safe for fabric.
  • Use appropriate bleach.

Removing blood stains is tricky. Many people first try to treat the stain with hot water, which could actually make the stain tougher, if not impossible, to get out.

Treat blood stains first with COLD water and get as much of the stain that you can out.

Getting Out Water Based Paint Stains

  • Rinse fabric in cool water to flush out paint while stains are still wet.
  • Launder in hottest water safe for fabric.

Dried paint is very hard to remove. However, there are commercial products that may remove such stains. Follow package directions.
